This poem expresses the deepest
feelings a poet must endure when a picture is given no matter how good
or how bad. It is the words written that lend a balm to the striking
intensity that hits the heart in many things. It helps identify the
curiosity of many a circumstance or photo in the mind.

A Poet's Pendulum
When maple leaf clusters flutter And wide lake waters shimmer When mountain mica shines And beach sands dazzle I feel elation However:
When hot pavement glitters And littered cans glisten When the peasant's brow shines And weapons of war flash I feel such sorrow Still:
When the canopy of stars twinkle And the morning dew glows I feel blessed Yet:
Tears sparkle and blur My every vision.
