A Rational Anthem
(back to poetry 2000 index)
Here's yet another poem where I think I'm analyzing our existence in Society these days. See what you get out of it.

A Rational Anthem
In our heart of hearts We know, we know We come around Around we go Spinning wheels Spinning tires Spinning thoughts On spinning spires We wonder why I ask, why wonder? They've spun the spell You've been put under Drugged and numb In an addict's attic Remote in hand You crave the static You live in the current Of this current existence Would never question One man's persistence In a losing game Of love and hate We hate to love Predestined fate Now entertain This final thought Could we be lost If found we're not?
