This poem starts out with John Lennon's question decades ago. From that point I mix our thoughts and lines with what I think for Christmas and what should be done to return to the true values of the first Christmas.

Angels We Have Heard On High
'So this is Christmas… And what have you've done?' Does anyone recall The song Lennon had sung? 'For the rich and the poor ones For the black and the white' For the humble disabled Warm or cold on this night. I would extend it to the Earth Our pets and the Sun To the wind-beaten Postman To the long rivers that run To the innocent child And the elderly Soul To the Givers of Love And the Hands that fold 'A very Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year' No matter the weather Try to be of good cheer Each of us encounters A box of burdens to bear And only through Peace Can we vanquish the Fear 'Another year over A new one begun' The Messenger is near She calls every one.
